Lips

Before

- It is crucial to consult with us regarding any history of cold sores, shingles, or Herpes simplex before a lip procedure. If you've had any of these conditions, it is important to be pre-treated with an antiviral. Please obtain a prescription from your physician for this antiviral medication.

- To boost your immune system, we recommend taking an antiviral such as Valtrex or Zovirax. Start taking it one day before the procedure and continue with three tablets after the procedure. It is essential to consult with your doctor since a medical prescription is required for these antivirals.

- Refrain from getting any lip fillers for two weeks before and two weeks after the procedure.

- Begin moisturizing your lips three days prior to the procedure using Aquaphor or another ointment. It is crucial not to come to your appointment with dry or chapped lips.

After

- For the first three days post-procedure, only drink through a straw to minimize irritation.

- Avoid consuming spicy and salty foods for the first three days after the procedure to prevent irritation.

- Apply the cream provided to you approximately every 3-4 hours as instructed.

- Do not expose your lips to direct sunlight or sunbathe for the first seven days after the procedure.

- Refrain from using saunas or swimming pools for the first 5-7 days to allow for proper healing.

- Please note that your lips may appear darker and bolder initially due to the natural process of scabbing and healing. This is normal for all permanent makeup procedures.
